My Story

The Accidental Remote Worker

For the longest time, travel was a 'someday' thing.

Someday, when I have enough money.

Someday, when work settles down.

Someday, when the time is right.

Then I started earning, my wife and I booked our first trip - and someday became right now.

And we never really looked back.

I'm a Bengaluru-based IT professional who accidentally figured out that you don't have to choose between a career and a life. When COVID hit and the world went remote, something shifted in me. The office commute disappeared, the rigid 9-to-6 loosened up, and for the first time I realized - this is how I want to work. Focused, flexible, and on my own terms.

Going back to an office full-time was never an option again.

I'm not a digital nomad influencer.

I'm not a six-figure freelance coach.

I'm just someone who figured a few things out the slow way - about remote work, about income, about building a life that has some actual breathing room in it - and decided to write it all down.

This blog exists because remote work gave me something I didn't know I was missing: the freedom to design my own day. And if there's even one person out there sitting on the fence about going remote - unsure where to start, what skills to build, or whether it's actually possible in India - I want this to be the resource I wish I had.

No fluff. No recycled advice. Just real experience, passed on with gratitude.

This blog is for the curious, the stuck, and the quietly restless.

Our Vision

We live in a country where the default script is deeply familiar:

Study hard -> land a stable job -> commute to an office -> clock in -> clock out [repeat].

And for a long time, that script made sense.

But the world has changed - and the possibilities available to a skilled, connected professional are unprecedented.

You can work for a company based in Berlin while having your morning cup of tea on your terrace. You can take a Friday off and spend the weekend in Coorg without applying for leave. You can build a freelance income that rivals - or exceeds - a corporate salary, while deciding who you work with, how many hours you put in, and what your week actually looks like.

That's not fantasy. That's the reality thousands of people are quietly building for themselves right now.

This blog exists to make that reality more accessible - to break it down into skills, systems, and honest conversations so that more people in India can step into that freedom with clarity and confidence.

The goal is simple: give you everything you need to know, nothing you don't, and all of it grounded in real experience rather than borrowed theory.

Because the world is wide open. You just need to know how to work from it.
